Social media: Problem with Post Publication
Troubleshooting Post Publication Issues
If you encounter problems with post publication and your content does not appear on some connected social media platforms, it is likely that the current authorization for those platforms has expired. In such cases, refreshing the authorization is necessary. To do this:
Navigate to Social Media > Accounts.
Select the affected account and follow the prompts to refresh the authorization.
Once the authorization has been successfully refreshed, your account should be able to publish posts again.
Testing the Connection
If the issue persists even after refreshing the authorization, we recommend publishing a sample test post with minimal content, such as the text "Sample post publication". This will help you verify if the connection between HitMe and the social media platform is functioning correctly.
If the test post is published successfully: This indicates that the issue may be with the content of your original post. Some elements (e.g., specific file formats, unsupported media types, or excessive text) might not be compatible with certain social media platforms.
If the test post fails to publish: This suggests there is still an issue with the connection. In such cases, consider re-establishing the connection by removing and re-adding the social media account under Social Media > Accounts.
Understanding Platform-Specific Requirements
Each social media platform has its own guidelines and limitations for content. For example, some platforms may not support certain file types, character limits, or media combinations. To avoid future issues, we recommend reading our How to Create Posts guide, which details the types of posts supported by each platform and provides best practices for content creation.
By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and resolve most publication issues, ensuring seamless posting across all your connected social accounts. If you continue to experience problems, feel free to reach out to our support team for further assistance.
