E-commerce: How to Add Tracking for Shipped Products


You can add tracking to a specific order with ease. To do this, ensure you are currently viewing the order to which you would like to add tracking information. Once you’ve confirmed you’re in the correct order, navigate to the right side of the order page where you will see the Order Tracking section. Within this section, click the “Add Tracking” button.


This action will open a new window where you can input additional delivery details to keep your order’s tracking information organized and accessible. The fields available for entry include:


Provider: The name of the shipping carrier (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL).

Tracking Number: The unique tracking code provided by the shipping carrier.

Tracking Link: A URL to directly track the shipment online.

Tracking Note (Private): A space to add any internal notes related to the shipment. These notes will not be visible to the customer.

Date Shipped: The date when the package was dispatched.

Once all required details have been entered, save the information to update the order with accurate tracking data. This will not only streamline delivery management but also improve communication with customers, ensuring a better overall experience.
