By default, comments are enabled for all blog posts and all products on the eCommerce platform (if the eCommerce module is active). This means that anyone visiting your site can leave a comment, whether they are logged in or not. However, you have the flexibility to customize these settings to better suit your needs and preferences.
To manage the comment settings for each content type (such as blog posts and products), navigate to Content > Comments. At the top of the page, click on the "Settings" button. This will take you to the main comment settings page where you can configure the comment options for each content type individually.
On the settings page, you’ll have the following options:
• Status: Choose whether comments are Active or Inactive. If comments are inactive, users will not be able to leave comments on your content until you change the status back to active.
• Comments Visibility: Decide whether comments should be visible on all posts/products or only on selected ones. This gives you the ability to control whether comments are enabled universally or if you prefer to restrict comments to specific posts or products.
• Allowed Users: You can control who can leave a comment by selecting one of the following options:
o Everyone can add a comment: This allows any visitor, regardless of whether they are logged in, to post a comment.
o Only logged-in users can add a comment: This setting restricts commenting to users who have logged into their account on your site, helping you moderate and manage comments more easily by ensuring they come from identifiable users.
These customizable settings give you full control over the comment functionality for your platform, allowing you to fine-tune who can comment, where comments appear, and whether or not comments are active on your posts and products. This flexibility ensures that your comment sections are managed in a way that aligns with your platform's goals and user experience.
