Domains: Transfer Domain to New Registrar
HitMe allows you to transfer a domain currently registered with us to another provider. To begin the process, navigate to Website > Domains and select the domain you want to transfer.
Domain Transfer Requirements
Transferring a domain will require an AUTH/INFO code. This code is essential for transferring control of your domain. Do not share this code with anyone! Sharing it could result in losing access to your domain.
If someone requests your AUTH/INFO code for website development purposes, consider updating the DNS settings instead. You can do this by editing the DNS servers, which are available in the domain's general information section.
Steps to Transfer a Domain
Go to the Security Settings section of the domain's control panel.
Disable the option Protection Against Domain Name Transfer to allow the transfer request.
Once the request is processed, the AUTH/INFO code will become available under the button Get AUTH/INFO Code.
If you change your mind about transferring the domain, re-enable Protection Against Domain Name Transfer to secure your domain.
