How to Create and Manage Menus with HitMe Menu Creator
Navigating to the Menu Creator
To create or manage a menu, go to Settings > Navigation Menu. From this page, you can effortlessly manage existing menus or add new ones to your website.
Overview of the Menu Creator
The HitMe Menu Creator is divided into two sections for intuitive navigation:
1. Left Section:
o This section contains all the pages and elements that can be easily added to your menu.
o You can also add custom elements such as links or photo-links. The photo-link option lets you select an image from your gallery.
o To add elements to your menu, select the desired items and click the “Add to Menu” button.
2. Right Section:
o This section displays the menu structure, which can be edited using a simple drag-and-drop functionality.
o You can rearrange links and elements to customize their positions.
o HitMe supports up to three menu levels, allowing you to create complex, structured menus.
Editing Menu Elements
To customize a specific menu element:
• Click the settings icon on the element.
• Advanced settings allow you to:
o Change the element text.
o Specify whether the link opens in the same window or a new one.
o Preview the full link address (including your domain).
Additional options may vary based on the element's level in the menu hierarchy. For example:
• Level 1 Elements: Customize how the submenu is displayed, including:
o Menu Width: Fit Content, Full Width.
o Submenu Display: Options like Border, Padding, Rounded Top/Bottom, and Shadow.
Menu Structures
HitMe Menu Creator supports two primary menu structures:
1. Simple Menu Structure:
o Suitable for menus with up to two levels.
o Each element, including images, appears on a separate line.
o Advanced options are limited to basic settings, such as renaming the element or opening links in a new window.
2. Mega Menu Structure:
o Designed for menus with a three-level structure, enabling more advanced layouts.
o Submenus can span up to 12 columns.
o For second-level elements, you can specify their width by selecting the number of columns they should occupy.
o Second-level image elements will occupy a full column, and you can adjust their height.
o Third-level elements appear in a single-column layout, stacked vertically.
